Tynker helps students of all ages learn to code through playing online games. Khan Academy offers a great tutorial-based series of activities that allows students to see results of their code immediately. Code Monster is a simplified user interface that lets younger kids explore variables in HTML/CSS web design. Students learn how to program in the Python language in order to move their hero through labyrinths while avoiding monsters and dead ends. I recommend directing students toward Python or HTML/CSS.
